01Who we are
Ted’s Auto Service & Repair is a mobile automotive repair business based in the City of Orange, California (BAR Reg. ARD 316361). This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our booking and inquiry forms, and how we use and share it.
02Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and mobile phone number.
- Service location: the address where you want the work done, and optionally a ZIP code or city with an inquiry.
- Vehicle details: year, make and model, the service you need, and your description of the problem.
- Appointment details: the date and time you book, and any changes or cancellations.
- Payment information: your card details are entered directly into our payment processor, Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation and limited details such as the last four digits and card brand. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages: what you write in inquiries and emails to us.
- Technical information: basic information collected automatically by our website and service providers, such as browser type, pages visited, and IP address for security and spam prevention.
03How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and send you an acknowledgment email.
- To schedule, confirm, reschedule or cancel your appointment, and to send confirmations and reminders.
- To process your $50 Mobile Service Visit Fee, refunds and payments.
- To travel to your location and provide estimates and service.
- To keep the records California requires for automotive repair, such as estimates, authorizations and invoices.
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse of our forms and booking system.
- To operate and improve this website.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
04Service providers
These providers process information on our behalf to provide their services:
- Framer hosts this website.
- Cal.com handles scheduling: it stores your appointment and booking details and sends booking confirmations, reminders and change emails.
- Google Workspace and Google Calendar provide our business email and calendar.
- Stripe processes card payments and refunds, and sends payment receipts.
- Cloudflare runs our secure booking system and stores booking records.
- Formspree delivers website inquiries to our inbox.
- Resend sends automated emails, such as inquiry acknowledgments.
- Twilio delivers appointment text messages to customers who opt in.
We may also disclose information when required by law.
05Email and text messages (SMS)
We email you about your inquiry and appointment.
If you tick the optional text-message box when you book, we use the mobile number you give us to send appointment-related text messages: appointment request updates, confirmations, reminders, scheduling changes and service updates. We do not send marketing text messages.
- Text messages are optional. Consent is not required to book an appointment.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance. You can also email service@tedsautoserviceandrepair.com.
- We record whether you agreed to text messages, and when, with your booking.
- Text messages are sent through our messaging provider, Twilio, which processes your phone number and the message content to deliver them.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing purposes. We also do not share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing.
06How long we keep information
We keep information as long as needed to provide service, handle refunds and disputes, and meet legal and recordkeeping requirements, then delete it or securely dispose of it.
07Your choices and rights
You can ask to review, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing service@tedsautoserviceandrepair.com. Some records must be kept by law. California residents may have additional rights under California law.
08Do Not Track
This website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
09Children
This website and our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10Security
We use reputable service providers and secure connections (HTTPS). Payment card details are handled by Stripe, not by our website.
11Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new date.
